What a month!

We are a month into school, I can't believe it. I now have over scheduled children! But, they are very happy. Rebecca started high school, she goes to Cottonwood. She is in honors classes, AP World History, Spanish, drivers ed, and orchestra. She is going to be in the pit orchestra for the school musical, "The Secret Garden" in November. She is also in the Granite Youth Symphony again this year. She is determined to get a letter of merit in music! She also takes piano and is of course involved in Young Women's. We don't see much of her, if she is home she is doing homework!

Rachel is in 8th grade at Bonneville Jr. She is in all honors classes, French, and Journalism. She tried out for the school musical, 'Seussical the Musical' and got one of the leads! She is a 'bird girl', she will be in most of the scenes doing a lot of the back up singing for the main characters. She also made Show Choir, which will get more involved after the musical is over in November. She takes voice lessons, helps teach Karate, and is in Young Women's. We see her occasionally as well.

Emmalee is in 5th grade at Arcadia. She is still our social butterfly. Friends are her biggest priority. She is going to have the opportunity to be part of an eMints classroom in the next month or so. They will have one computer to every two students and do most of their work on the computers. Becca did it in 4th grade and it was a great experience. She takes piano, which isn't her favorite, but she is doing pretty good. She is involved with Up With Kids again this year. She is part of the older group, so should get a lot more stage time and responsibility. They are doing "The Wicked Wizard of Oz" or something like that. They combine the two shows with many more as well. She is excited.

Poor Ellie is stuck at home with mom. We do ok. We spend a lot of time at the elementary school, and running errands and her sisters everywhere. She is getting so big and so smart. I am happy and sad at the same time. I don't really have a baby anymore.

We spent our favorite week at Snowbird. We anticipate it for so long, and then it goes by so fast! We love it though. Ellie got to do the craft all by herself since her sisters went to school that day. She loved the attention.
It will be interesting to see what the next month brings. We know most of it will be musical practices. Fun stuff!
