Camping

We just got back from a fabulous weekend of camping! We went to Canyonlands by Moab. Let me tell you, this is a great time of the year to go! The weather was perfect. There were no bugs!

We got to the planned campground, and it was full. Yikes! So we drove back a few miles to a small campground on BLM land, and found a lovely spot by "hamburger rock." There was no water and no bathroom, but we had our own, so we were thrilled.

The scenery was amazing, we got to climb the rocks to see the sunset.

We went on several simple hikes, and Ellie got to hang out in the camper, her favorite thing. She would cheer when we would come in view of the camper. She got to hike on daddy's shoulder most of the time, and liked to wear his hat.

Rachel got her braces at the beginning of the month, and had a device put in on Wednesday afternoon. We get to crank the device once a day to help widen the roof of her mouth so all her teeth will fit. She was a little sore, but she was a trooper!
